The owner replied that if Dib brought a few items it might jog his memory. In "Career Day," ZIM is told his ideal career is as a fast food slave, and the episode, like most others, suffers from Negative Continuity and so the viewer thinks nothing much of it. The joke started even earlier, in the first episode: Weren't you banished to Foodcourtia?
Super Toast, from the first episode to "Future Dib".

Issue 14 opens with Zim falling into a hole randomly dug into his front yard, breaking his legs in the process. At the end of the issueit's shown that he's still stuck in there, and trying throw his legs over his shoulders so that he can climb out. Score nothing for the ZIM This trope is taken to an absurd, horrific degree, to the point that it deters people from eating fast food and watching the show with a clear conscience.
Pretty much every fast-food chain is portrayed as a disgusting, horrible place to eat or work, with the likes of Crazy Taco, McMeaties, Bloaty's Pizza Hog, and Chicky Licky.
Taken to it's logical extreme with Foodcourtia, an entire planet dedicated to fast food. Apparently because of Zim's banishment there, inflicting this on Zim is now Sizz-lor's job description.
And he likes it. Taken up to eleven for McMeaties for "Career Day". Think about itZim is picked up to witness his future career at fast food restaurant by an employee on his time off who needs to get back before his break is over, Zim is put to work for the restaurant despite not being an actual employee nor being old enough to work at a restaurant going by Zim's cover as pretending to be an elementary school studentrequired to ask the shift manager if he can "get a break" despite Zim is supposed to be there to witness his guide's career and not to work there, and being "fired" on a whim by the manager after Zim molts.
It makes you wonder if the teenage employee who was Zim's career peer example was picked up from his elementary school on Career Day, put to work at the fast food restaurant, and never has stopped working there since that day! But for Me, It Was Tuesday: ZIM's reaction to Tak telling him how he ruined her life could qualify as this trope: When ZIM starts sniping at Dib via a temporal displacement device, Dib starts accumulating more and more debilitating injuries, and is eventually driven to the point of death After which he is revived and equipped with a bionic exoskeleton by Professor Membrane.
All further attempts on Dib's past life result in upgrades to the exoskeleton. Dib, to the point where when he and ZIM are piloting Mercury and Mars respectively in "Battle of the Planets", Dib is piloting the Butt of Mercury, and gets there by a spaceship that was once used to shoot monkeys into space.
ZIM fares slightly better compared to Dib, but he's been kicked around several times as well. Be it due to his various horrible injuries, frequent failures, or being despised by his own species due to his own incompetence and violent nature. Invader Skoodge, so much. The Cake Is a Lie: In "Door to Door", ZIM and Dib's class is selling Poop candy bars for a fundraiser, promised that the student who sells the most candy bars will win a mystery prize.
ZIM goes to ridiculous lengths to get it, eventually selling 1.

GIR in his "mongoose-dog" suit GIR's usual Earth disguise consists of a green "mongoose-dog" suit with a zipper on the stomach, and a head that can be pulled over like a hood. It also includes a small tail that he is inexplicably capable of wagging like a human dog's.
The large eyes sometimes blink while at other times, they do not. Also, the mouth will sometimes open when he speaks, whereas other times it stays closed.
He also has a small child disguise with blonde hair and the mouth hanging open so he can see, but it was only used in two episodes. Personality GIR's hyperactivity GIR is happy-go-lucky, enthusiastic, energetic, excitable, and extremely hyperactive, and will eat just about anything, regardless of whether it is edible or not.
Most of the time he spouts nonsense, but does have a few, short moments of clarity: GIR usually fools around when Zim gives an order, and always goes right back to what he was doing before once he has completed the order which is only done occasionally or, more often, when Zim leaves. If a person interferes with her, or with what she enjoys doing, she will often vow revenge, although whether or not she follows up on her vow depends on the situation.
Two prime examples of her vengeful nature can be seen in " Battle-Dib " where she made sure Dib had a terrible time and couldn't accomplish his mission to see their father so he could show the Swollen Eyeball Network his findings on Zim just because he took the last pizza slice and in " Game Slave 2 ", where she stalks and terrorizes Iggins in order to get back a handheld console that was stolen from her.
In line with her dour nature, Gaz has rarely been seen smiling.
She also smiled a few times in the " Pilot ", but given the many inconsistencies seen in it, its canonicity is dubious. Gaz cares little for most people, and generally regards human interaction as nothing more than a means to an end. Several issues of the comics have shown her playing online with other gamers, although whether these are friends or simply another means to an end is unknown. Gaz's usual concern for her brother's welfare.
